Susan Randall is a contemporary American Realist whose imagery employs the landscape while at times incorporating the human figure. Randall's paintings are evocative of specific moment and place. In her most recent paintings of the Outercape, she explores the fragile beauty of the coastine and the connection to the human population that impacts it.
"As a regional painter, I feel a responsibility to chronicle the Cape today, in the same way that early Cape painters did in their era. I also paint scenes of daily local life, and try to bring respect to as well as celebrate the aspects of the area that make it special."
Susan Randall received her BFA in painting from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. Her mediums reach from oil painting to figurative sculpture in wood, clay and marble. She is the owner of East Bay Gallery in the exclusive seaside town of Osterville, Massachusetts.
Susan lives in Centerville, Cape Cod, Massachusetts with her husband Brian Baslik, daughter Elizabeth, son Cole, and greyhound, Jasper.
